Ethel Dvoskin, President
Hey everyone! My name is Ethel and I’m a senior majoring in Psychological Sciences and HDFS with an early childhood development specialization. I've previously worked at the Child Development Labs here on campus in the infant rooms. This summer, I will be working with Dr. Carolyn Greene in the Psychiatry department at UConn Health, assisting with a study focusing on emotion socialization processes in Latinx families. Last summer, I worked at Camp Wediko - a camp program for children struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. After graduation, I hope to pursue a graduate program that allows me to help improve the mental health of our youth. In my free time, I enjoy jogging outside, painting, and spending time with family and friends!
Paola Morgan, Vice President
I’m a senior majoring in Psychology and double-minoring in Human Development and Family Sciences & Crime and Justice. After graduation I plan on working as an elementary school paraprofessional and pursuing a Master’s degree in School Psychology. In my free time you’ll find me playing volleyball or working out at the rec, hanging with friends, listening to true crime podcasts, and painting.
Christopher Cano, Secretary
Hi everyone! My name is Christopher Cano. I'm a senior majoring in Psychological Sciences, with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. I am currently interning at UConn Health's Department of Psychiatry doing research involving managing stress and anxiety. I'll be working as a research assistant in Dr. Park's Spirituality, Meaning, and Health Lab in the spring. I plan to pursue my Ph.D in Clinical Psychology, doing substance abuse research, as well as research on individuals living with chronic illnesses. In my free time, I run the guitar club on campus, or you can find me skateboarding, sewing, or watching the Sopranos.
Kaylie Karidis, Treasurer
Hi everyone! My name is Kaylie Karidis and I am a junior majoring in psychological sciences, with a minor in digital marketing and analytics. I currently work as a peer advisor in the undergraduate psychology advising office, where I assist students with their academic needs alongside academic advisors. I also manage the office’s social media platforms. After graduation, I plan on pursuing a graduate degree in counseling. In my free time I enjoy reading, listening to music, going on walks with my pug, Milo and hanging out with friends!
Alexis Trojahn, Media Coordinator
Hi everyone! My name is Alexis Trojahn and I'm a senior getting dual degrees in Psychological Sciences and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. After graduation, I plan to pursue a PsyD in Clinical Psychology and specialize in children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. Over the Summer I will be working as a research assistant in Dr. Suanda's Communication and Development Lab, I have also previously worked in Dr. Eigsti's Connecticut Autism and Language Lab! I am also a master coach for the AAC, and I will be president of the UConn Psychology Club for the Fall 2023- Spring 2024. I am very passionate about neurodiversity and helping my peers navigate UConn! In my free time I like to read, exercise, and spend time with my family.
