      Applications for Fall 2024 are now CLOSED.

      DISCLAIMER: you should be signing in with your PERSONAL google account to access the application google form. If you DO NOT have one, you can email your application information and the necessary documents directly to the Psi Chi email:  uconnpsichichapter@gmail.com 

      1. Ensure you meet the eligibility requirements:

                For Undergraduate Students:

        • At least a second-semester sophomore (by credits: at least 36 credits partly transferred from high school or another institution, or all from UConn)
        • Major or minor in Psychology or Cognitive Science or a minor in Neuroscience
        • Completed at least 9 graded semester hours of Psychology courses taken at the University of Connecticut
        • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
        • Psychology GPA of 3.0 or higher

                For Graduate Students:

        • Enrolled in psychology graduate program at the University of Connecticut
        • Established a graduate GPA
        • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in all graduate coursework
        • Complete the online Psi Chi application on the national website (Local Chapter = University of Connecticut).
        • Download a PDF of your unofficial transcript from Student Admin -> Transcripts and Verifications -> View Unofficial transcript -> Submit. Download the PDF and name it LastName_FirstName_Transcript.
        • Download a PDF of your advisement report from Student Admin -> Academic Progress & Advising ->  What-if Advisement Report -> Create New Report -> Submit Request -> View Report as PDF. Download the PDF and name it LastName_FirstName_AR.
        • Submit both the transcript and advisement report via the google form
        • We will notify you of your acceptance status and send further instructions regarding payment for dues after all applications have been reviewed.

         

        Note: If you are a transfer student only PSYC classes taken at UConn for grades will be used in calculating your PSYC GPA as UConn does not transfer grades, only credits. Additionally, the 9 credits MUST be graded credits, so transfer PSYC credits cannot count towards this.

        **Please note that if you are accepted, our induction will be on October 7th 2024** from 7:00-8:30pm. 

        All application materials (including BOTH unofficial transcript AND advisement report) MUST be received by the application deadline in order for your application to be processed in addition to your application on the NATIONAL WEBSITE.
